"The previous foundation company that was used was no longer in business, so we checked through Google to see reviews for other foundation companies."
In 2015, my doors started sticking and when I would drop stuff in certain areas of my home, it would literally roll all the way into the next room. I knew the foundation would need work, but once it got this bad, I knew it was time to finally repair it. The previous foundation company that was used was no longer in business, so we checked through Google to see reviews for other foundation companies. We called 3 different companies and received 3 different quotes. The first company wanted to add piers literally all over the house (even right next to existing piers from previous foundation work), costing well over 30k. They said this was absolutely necessary and they basically would not take into account the existing piers or their condition since they could not warranty them. Fair enough but super expensive. I received a quote from another company who also overexagerated on the amount of piers needed, and basically just put them in a different location from the first company. The price was lower, but the customer service was not great. The man who came to give an estimate insisted we would also have plumbing issues with the foundation repair, that it would likely cost an extra 6-7k and could give us the contact information for a company they constantly work with.. that just did not sit well with us. He did not give us a good explanation for the location of the piers or why the amount of piers were needed. We then called Level Check out to give us an estimate. Austin was polite, professional, and punctual. He took measurements of all rooms, explained the areas of concern, gave us a game plan. He gave us very good information on why the piers would be placed where they were, did not add any piers to areas that were not needed, and gave us a very fair price. We asked him about potential plumbing issues and he said this would most likely not be an issue, since they do homes very similar to ours and very rarely have any issues with plumbing. This already saved us money on a plumber and we appreciated his honesty.. He kept in contact with us, but was not that annoying salesperson who called twice a day to make a sale. We decided to go with Level Check. The working crew did a great job. They were also professional and completed the project in a timely manner, salvaging as much as possible and not damaging anything they did not have to. They were courteous and polite as well. We were very happy with their work and appreciate the job they did!
